Three St. Ann’s team members receive inaugural Anna & Len Stein Award for going above and beyond in caring for our Elders

The inaugural Anna & Len Stein Award was recently presented to three members of the nursing team at St. Ann’s Community: Keith Dickeson (C.N.A, St. Ann’s Home), Susan Hargrave (Sr. C.N.A., St. Ann’s Care Center) and Borith Sam (Sr. C.N.A. St. Ann’s Home). Between them, these dedicated members of our nursing team have a combined 97 years of experience at St. Ann’s – and it shows in the incredible way in which they care for our elders!

The Stein Award was established through a philanthropic gift from Anna and Len Stein. Anna has been a member of the St. Ann’s nursing team since 2007, serving in a number of leadership roles. Anna watched the hard work and sacrifices that our frontline care partners made during these past two challenging years of the pandemic. It inspired her, and her husband Len, to make a gift to St. Ann’s Foundation to support ongoing recognition of outstanding members of the St. Ann’s nursing staff.

The awards were presented by St. Ann’s Chief Nursing Officer, Cindy Lovetro, and St. Ann’s Care Center Director of Nursing, Tina Cenname. They spoke about each recipient’s incredible work ethic, compassion, and impeccable attention to detail to their elder’s needs, as well as their willingness to assist their fellow colleagues.

Congratulations, Keith, Susan and Borith, on being the very first members of our team to be distinguished with this honor. Your dedication is appreciated, and deserving of this recognition.
We are grateful to Anna and Len Stein for their generous investment in those who serve our elders. The pandemic has been stressful for our nursing staff, and it is wonderful to see them recognized.
