The Anna and Len Stein Award presented to three outstanding members of St. Ann’s Nursing staff

The 2022 Anna and Len Stein Award was recently presented to three members of the nursing team at St. Ann’s Community: Donsley Allen (C.N.A., St. Ann’s Care Center), Jose Ortiz (C.N.A., St. Ann’s Home) and Lakeya Owens (L.P.N., St. Ann’s Home).  The presentation of the award was one of the ways that members of the St. Ann’s nursing staff were celebrated during Nursing Care Givers Week.

The Stein Award was established through a philanthropic gift from Anna and Len Stein.  Anna has been a member of the St. Ann’s nursing team since 2007, serving in a number of leadership roles.  Anna watched the hard work and sacrifices that our frontline care partners made during these past two challenging years of the pandemic.  It inspired her, and her husband Len, to make a gift to St. Ann’s Foundation to support ongoing recognition of outstanding members of the St. Ann’s nursing staff.

The awards were presented by St. Ann’s Chief Nursing Officer, Cindy Lovetro.  Cindy spoke of each recipient’s positive attitude, strong work ethic, compassionate delivery of care, and the excellent influence they have on their fellow colleagues.

Congratulations, Donsley, Jose, and Lakeya! Your dedication is appreciated, and deserving of this recognition.

We are grateful to Anna and Len Stein for their generous investment in those who serve our elders.
