Volunteering at St. Ann's

Becoming a volunteer at St. Ann’s offers the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our elders.

How to get involved:

Becoming a Community Volunteer allows you form long lasting relationships with the Elders of St. Ann’s Community. Join our team and participate in the daily activities, celebrations, and milestones!

  • Pastoral Care: Assisted Elders to Mass, serve as a Eucharist Minister, or visit individuals for prayer.
  • Life Enrichment: Engage Elders in activities like puzzles, games, or one-on-one visits, including BINGO!, music, arts & crafts, manicures, and gardening.
  • Pages with Pals: Read books and embark on adventures with Elders.
  • Friendly Visits: Regularly visit with the same Elder or neighborhood, playing games, watching TV, and really getting to know one another.
  • Friendly Pet Visits: Think of how full your pets make your home! Bring your pet to share love and snuggles with Elders!
  • As needed Volunteering: Volunteer for special occasions, large events, or when it fits your schedule!
  • Create your own experience: Share your talents, whether in nail painting, art, music, or any other creative activity, with Elders!

Opportunities for groups to be involved:

Open Volunteer Days: Need volunteer hours for school, a group, a confirmation class, or something similar? Join us at St. Ann’s Community! Volunteer Days are perfect for middle school, high school, and college students seeking less than 20 hours of community service.  Register HERE.

Adopt a Grandparent Event:  Join us for a meaningful morning, afternoon, or evening with our Elders – your group can assist with daily routines, join in larger events, or enjoy custom activities designed just for you. We recommend planning about a month in advance, but we can often accommodate shorter timelines. These visits bring joy and lasting impact to the lives of our Elders.

Hosting an Event at Your Location:  Planning a service fair, card-making project, or have a creative idea to support our Elders? Or hosting a school play, concert, or community event they’d enjoy? Connect with Volunteer Services Manager Colleen Holcomb for materials, staff support, or collaboration opportunities to make it meaning for all.

Other Ways To Be Involved:

Request a Presentation: Would you love for your club or organization to know more about St. Ann’s Community and how you may be able to give back to the Elders through volunteering? Invite Colleen, Our Volunteer Services Manager, to do a presentation.

Ways to Raise Funds for St. Ann’s Community: Does your group participate in or host fun team building activities (i.e., bowling, dodgeball, jeans or casual day, etc.)? Consider raising funds to support the elders of St. Ann’s Community.
