Looking Back to Move Forward: Join Me at This Year’s St. Ann’s Community Walk

I’ll admit it. I looked at the calendar this week and realized September had arrived, and with it, the annual St. Ann’s Community Walk. Where did the summer go? Every time this event rolls around, I’m reminded why this event is so meaningful.

In 2025, St. Ann’s touched the lives of 3,343 people. This number includes over 1,000 people who healed in our rehabilitation program, 897 patients cared for in wound care, 505 residents in skilled nursing, 429 participants in our Adult Day program, and more than 300 residents living independently on our campus. Behind every one of these numbers is a person, a family, and a story of care.

Last year, St. Ann’s Community Walk raised $100,000, and this year we’re building momentum to exceed that milestone. Last year’s support helped us expand dementia resources and education, including creating our Dementia Care Specialist role and beginning to integrate Tovertafel®, interactive tabletop projections that bring joy, movement, and connection for residents living with dementia across our skilled nursing, memory care, and Adult Day Program.

I know “every bit matters” can sound like something you put on a poster. But for us, it’s not a slogan. It’s simply what happens here. Every dollar raised at this event directly supports our residents and our staff.

Come join us on Saturday September 12th!  I even have space on my team (St. Ann’s Striders) if you’d like to join. We’ll have live music, food, a putting contest, and a full day of activities for the whole family. If you can’t make it out and would still like to support this work, you can give directly HERE.

Thank you for joining us in Caring for the Most Important People on Earth™.
