St. Ann’s Community plans week of events for “Sharing Hope”

Remembering loved ones and honoring past experiences will be the focus of a weeklong series of events in November at St. Ann’s Community. The public is invited to join in the week’s events which center on the theme, “Sharing Hope.” The purpose of “Sharing Hope” is that hope will become renewed and a sense of healing can begin through the variety of scheduled spiritual programs.

Keynote events are as follows:

St. Ann’s Home “Sharing Hope” Events, November 1st – 11th

All events take place in the St. Ann’s Home Chapel, 1500 Portland Avenue, unless otherwise noted.

Tree of Life | Beginning Friday, Nov. 1st
You’re are invited to write the name of a loved one on a paper leaf and add it to the Tree of Life.

Labyrinth | Throughout the week
You’re are invited to walk a labyrinth in St. Ann’s Home Chapel.

Weekend and Weekday Liturgies
Saturday Mass at 3:45 p.m. | Sunday Mass at 10:00 a.m. | Mon.-Thurs. at 3:45 p.m.

All Saints Day Mass | Friday, Nov. 1st at 10:00 a.m.

Ecumenical Worship Service | Tuesday, Nov. 5th at 10:30 a.m.
Pastor Keith Campbell of Redeemer Lutheran Church will lead the service.

Rhythms of Grace | Tuesday, Nov. 5th at 2:00 p.m.
St. Ann’s Home Lobby Pastor Ed Keegan will lead the group in a spiritually focused drum circle in the St. Ann’s Home Lobby.

Light up the Lobby | Thursday, Nov. 7th at 4:00 p.m.
St. Ann’s Home Lobby Residents will gather in prayer and music to light up memory jars made by St. Ann’s Elders.

Community Sing | Friday, Nov. 8th at 2:00 p.m.
An opportunity for the community to gather and share in an hour of meaningful and joyful singing.

North Greece Church of Christ Gospel Choir | Saturday, Nov. 9th at 2:00 p.m.

Hope-Filled Hymns with Dawn Chmiel | Sunday, Nov. 10th at 2:00 p.m.

Veterans Day Service during Liturgy | Monday, Nov. 11th at 3:45 p.m.

Building Resilience and Hope When Life Hurts – Elaine Mansfield
Tuesday, Nov. 5th at 1:00 p.m. | Chapel Oaks, Oak Room
We’ll honor our struggles and explore ways to care for ourselves and heal when life hurts.

Honoring the Holidays with Hope – Sr. Mary Lou Mitchell
Wednesday, Nov. 6th at 1:00 p.m. | Chapel Oaks, Oak Room
When we remember the gifts our loved ones have offered us, hope and strength become the way to guide us thru the holidays.

 

Cherry Ridge “Sharing Hope” Events, November 1st – 11th

All events take place in the Cherry Ridge Community Room, 900 Cherry Ridge Blvd., unless otherwise noted.

Tree of Life | Beginning Friday, November 1st
You’re invited to write the name of a loved one on a paper leaf and add it to the Tree of Life located outside the Cherry Ridge Community Room.

Labyrinth | Throughout the week
You’re invited to walk a labyrinth in the Cherry Ridge Community Room. The labyrinth represents a purposeful journey to one’s center and back out again into the world.

Weekend and Weekday Liturgies
Saturday Mass at 4:00 p.m. | Sunday Mass at 11:15 a.m. | Mon.-Thurs. at 9:30 a.m.
The liturgies will focus on hope as experienced through the paschal mystery.

All Saints Day Mass | Friday, November 1st at 9:30 a.m.

Many of us lose what we counted on — jobs, homes, our health, friends, partners, independence, and our belief that we’re in charge and can fix any problem. We’ll honor our struggles and explore ways to care for ourselves and heal when life hurts.
